A snug elastic bandage will be used for protection and to promote proper healing. Ice packs can help to minimize pain and swelling. Plan on wearing loose, comfortable clothing that can be easily taken on and off. You may have to adjust your sleeping and sitting positions for comfort, as well. Recovery time can range from just a couple weeks to as much as two months. It is very important that you follow care instructions closely. Be sure to limit any strenuous activities for at least six weeks, and gradually return to your normal routine. A healthy diet and exercise program will help you to maintain your new trimmed-down look.
